Unicorns refer to private companies with valuations in excess of $1 billion. There are around 150 of them (up from 80 in 2014) with an aggregate valuation of over $500 billion, at least based on their last round of valuations as reported by research firm CB Insights. What about the unicorns that have already been released in the wild?
