VMware on AWS now available

Primary VMware public cloud, supported by VMWare....running on bare metal AWS hardware:

Each host has a pair of CPUs, 36 cores, 72 hyper-threads, 512GB of RAM, local flash storage (3.6TB cache, 10.7TB raw capacity tier). But you'll need four hosts to build a cluster!
Region: US West (Oregon)

On-Demand (hourly)**1 Year Reserved*3 Year Reserved*
List Price ($ per host)$8.3681$51,987$109,366
Effective Monthly*$6,109$4,332$3,038
Savings Over On-Demand30%50%
If one physical server has 36 pCPUs and assuming 4:1 vCPU:pCPU ratio and assuming average VM is 2 vCPUs/4GB/70GB storage then one physical server can support  36 pCPUs x 4 vCPU:pCPU ratio / 2 vCPUs per VM = 72 VMs.

Traditional On-Premises$0.10 - $0.17, depending on customer environment
