Tesla Model 3 Delivery Checklist
BASICS
  • Make sure VIN matches paperwork
  • Correct color & options, ask your Delivery Specialist to double check
  • ‘Tesla’ license plate frame & Front license plate mount
  • Universal Mobile Connector (UMC) cable with the 3 included standard adapters (NEMA 5-15, 14-50, J1772), and the carry bag w/velcro
  • Latest software version installed
  • Owner’s manual in the glovebox
  • All accessories (tow hook, microfiber cloth, HUD), and any extras you opted for
  • If you waited outside a Store for your reservation, make sure you get your diecast copy of the car (color won't match)
  • Make sure you can put the car in Park (and that it stays parked)
EXTERIOR
PAINT
  • Surfaces (and underside) are free of scuffs, marks, abrasions, or smudges
  • Paint is not scratched or “folded”
PANELS
  • All panels are aligned & flush, no huge gaps or misalignments (crooked hood)
  • Frunk gap/sag, makes sure its no more than 4mm
  • Front and rear lights are flush with hood/trunk/panels
  • Glass roof panels are aligned and show no sign of potential leaks
  • Front/Rear lights are free of condensation
  • Tow hook eye comes off easily (ask for demonstration, don't break it)
  • Wheels & Underside free of scrapes from truck unloading/loading
  • Doors, hood, trunk all open properly
  • Doors and trunk/frunk close with a normal amount of force, i.e. no slamming required
  • Accessories under frunk mat are present
TECHNICAL
  • All 4 valve stem covers on tires
  • Both key cards work on the B-pillar
  • Phone bluetooth connectivity as primary key works
  • All phone app functions work (unlocking, preconditioning, etc)
  • All front & rear lights work (emergency, turn signals, brakes, hi-beams/fog, up/down adjustment from touch screen)
  • Side mirrors make minimal noise when shifting from state to state
  • Charge port door sits flush and moves freely, opens consistently
  • Each of the Mobile Connector adapters charge, latch and unlatch without problems
  • Make sure both AC and DC plugs work (test at a supercharger on-site)
INTERIOR
MATERIALS
  • Surfaces (and underside) are free of scuffs, marks, abrasions, or smudges
  • Check the windshield and windows for ripples in the glass
  • Interior liner is properly sealed & not “hanging”
  • Paint in the door and body gap
  • All floor mats are present
  • Seat tears or smudges
  • Seat material is not bunched or folded
  • Headliner fingerprints or marks
  • Suction cup and order/inventory burn in on dash
TECHNICAL
  • All windows go up/down without noise or issues, no black “goop”
  • Make sure AC/Heat works at full power without strange noises
  • All interior button functionality works, especially dome lights & emergency
  • Both front door emergency handles work
  • Both front seats don’t squeak when moving (check all directions of motion) OR folding (for rear)
  • All interior lights present & working (especially footwells, puddle lights, dome, etc)
  • Front console has both phone cables
  • All 4 USB outlets & 12 volt DC receptacle have power
  • Rear backup camera clear & working
  • Music streaming & phone streaming work, radio reception is good
  • Voice control works
  • Microphone picks up good audio (call a friend with the Model 3 dialer)
  • All speakers emit sound, no audio “clipping”
  • 2 tweeter speaker on the doors (by the rearview mirrors)
  • 2 mid range speaker above in the front
  • 2 bass speakers on the bottom of the front doors
  • 2 mid speakers on the back doors
  • 2 mid speakers on the top of the trunk subwoofer inside the trunk, right side
