The problem with comparing Amazon AWS, Microsoft Azure and Google Cloud Platform is that the latter two companies do not publish sales figures for their cloud platforms. In the case of Azure, we don’t know how much of its product portfolio actually consists of new offerings, and how much of it is overlapping with its existing products and cannibalizing its own sales. So, we have to rely on external estimates.
However, when one factors in Software-as-a-Service, or SaaS, the landscape shifts more toward companies that focus on that segment, such as Microsoft.
